The campus of Aradhana Public School, Rohru came alive with the colours of devotion, tradition and childhood joy as students celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. The celebration became especially memorable as our young students arrived at school beautifully dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha and other characters associated with the life of Shri Krishna. Adorned with peacock feathers, crowns, jewellery, floral accessories and decorated flutes, the children brought a vibrant festive spirit to the school campus.
More than a festive occasion, the celebration offered students an opportunity to experience India’s rich cultural heritage in an engaging and meaningful way.
Little Krishnas and Radhas Bring the Celebration to Life
One of the most delightful aspects of the celebration was seeing our young learners enthusiastically participate in the festivities. The school campus was filled with little Krishnas dressed in bright yellow attire, beautiful crowns and peacock feathers, while young Radhas added grace to the occasion with colourful traditional dresses, floral ornaments and festive accessories. Every crown, flute, peacock feather and traditional costume contributed to the festive atmosphere. The students’ costumes were not merely decorative; they helped young children connect visually and emotionally with the stories and traditions associated with Janmashtami.
Learning About Indian Culture Through Celebration
